Evidencias<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El ayuno intermitente (AI) implica per\u00edodos alternos de comer con per\u00edodos de ayuno de hasta un <strong>m\u00e1ximo de 24 horas<\/strong> durante <strong>1 a 4 d\u00edas a la semana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los estudios en humanos han demostrado que el AI reduce el peso y la masa grasa, el colesterol total, el colesterol de lipoprote\u00ednas de baja densidad (LDL), los triglic\u00e9ridos, la lipemia posprandial y la insulina en ayunas, mientras que otras dietas no han mostrado mejoras significativas en la salud metab\u00f3lica a pesar de la p\u00e9rdida de peso, lo que sugiere que el ayuno puede ser un <strong>revulsivo para mejorar el riesgo cardiovascular y la salud global<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Seg\u00fan nuestro conocimiento, cinco estudios han comparado un enfoque diet\u00e9tico intermitente versus continuo durante 2 a 12 meses. No hubo diferencias en la sensibilidad a la insulina, pero el ayuno de 24 horas tendi\u00f3 a inducir una resistencia transitoria a la insulina.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">La prescripci\u00f3n de AI sin restricci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda result\u00f3 en incrementos transitorios en los marcadores de riesgo para la diabetes tipo 2, a pesar de la p\u00e9rdida de peso moderada. Estos datos sugieren que el AI con restricci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda mejora la salud metab\u00f3lica, a diferencia del AI sin restricci\u00f3n de calor\u00edas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s, los participantes que realizaron AI informaron que consumieron menos alimentos de lo prescrito en los d\u00edas que pod\u00edan comer, como resultado de una menor sensaci\u00f3n de hambre, lo que resulta en una restricci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda adicional, un beneficio m\u00e1s del AI.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La cetosis fisiol\u00f3gica, y el aumento de las concentraciones plasm\u00e1ticas de \u00e1cido betahidroxibut\u00edrico (B-HB) reducen la sensaci\u00f3n de hambre y aumentan la sensaci\u00f3n de plenitud en los seres humanos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La cetosis que se produce en el ayuno tambi\u00e9n puede mitigar la reducci\u00f3n de la colecistoquinina posprandial y el aumento de las concentraciones de ghrelina -la \u00abhormona del hambre\u00bb- que se producen en respuesta a la restricci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica. El ayuno durante 24 horas tambi\u00e9n reduce las concentraciones de ghrelina.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\"
